Home energy tech leader BOXT has launched a bold new campaign, produced by creative agency Über.
Recognising that no two homes (or the people living in them) are the same, the campaign reimagines BOXT’s customers as a vibrant cast of cute animated animals, each living in a visually rich, characterful habitat that reflects their lifestyle, and energy technology needs.
From a buzzing beehive in the midst of a boiler breakdown to an eco-conscious squirrel who’s just nuts about saving on energy, every execution, cross-channel, is rooted in real-world customer insight. It’s about speaking directly to people’s challenges, with a tone that’s relatable, warm and full of personality.
“BOXT is about making home energy tech simple, smart and stress-free,” said Angus Struthers, BOXT’s marketing chief. “But we’re also about having a real understanding of our customers. This campaign brings to life stories and scenarios that reflect their lives in a way that feels personal with warmth—while still being seriously fun.”

The campaign launches with a series of TV spots, sponsorships and targeted social, supported by a multi-channel rollout. Animation comes from Arcade, with sound design and a bespoke soundtrack from String and Tins, all voiced by the dulcet Lancashire tones of Absolutely Fabulous star and erstwhile Victoria Woods collaborator Jane Horrocks—whose unmistakable delivery brings charm, humour and character to every scene.
“This campaign is all about connection,” says Rob Sandom, Executive Creative Director at Über. “We’ve built it around the real reasons people turn to BOXT — when the heating fails, when the bills bite, or when they’re ready to make their home smarter. By turning those stressful moments into characterful stories, we’ve made BOXT feel familiar, memorable, and right there in people’s minds exactly when they need it most.”
The campaign is designed to evolve – introducing new characters and habitats over time, and flexing to spotlight key products and seasonally relevant moments. It’s a platform built to keep BOXT front of mind for years to come.
Yorkshire-based agency Über’s impressive client list also includes household names like Netflix, Bentley and the Brtitish Film Institute (BFI).
