Communisis posts increased revenue and profit

Communisis has announced a 3% rise (£174.6m) in total revenue year-on-year. It has also posted an increased profit after tax of £2.5m (up 15%).

The interim results, for the 6 months ended June 30th also revealed that its marketing communications deal with EE had been extended for 2 years, until March 2017.

The Leeds agency had also signed a new 6 year contract with AXA UK after a competitive tendering process. Under the outsourcing arrangements, the Group has assumed responsibility for a number of its UK inbound and print centres, including one at Lytham St Anne’s.

It has also signed a 5 year extension with an unnamed “long standing client in the utility sector” for outgoing transactional communication services.

“The growth momentum at Communisis continues, driven by our focus on enduring client relationships and higher margin services,” said Communisis chief executive, Andy Blundell.

“Looking ahead, supported by a strong pipeline of opportunities, the Board is confident about the Group’s prospects for the remainder of the year.”

The company has also expanded overseas, with new offices in Bucharest, Milan and Warsaw.

A new digital services platform has been developed, to provide multi-channel customer messaging services. It was used by Nationwide Building Society to promote it enabling Apple Pay.
