Channel 4 adds to Nations and Regions team

Channel 4 has appointed Deborah Dunnett of Raise the Roof productions, to a new role of Nations and Regions executive.

She’ll report to N&R manager, Ian Mackenzie and takes responsibility for the development of regional productions across the UK.

“It’s been a real privilege to be part of Raise the Roof’s incredible success since it started in 2010, but the opportunity to champion all the talent in our nations and regions for a broadcaster whose attitude and vision I have long loved is truly thrilling. I’m itching to get started,” she said.

Dunnett has executive produced Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, Holiday of My Lifetime and Phil Spencer Secret Agent during her time at Raise the Roof. She also spent 5 years as the company’s head of development.

“I’m delighted to be bringing Deborah on board. Her creative track record, particularly with Channel 4 programming, makes her a true asset and ally to the production companies outside of London, and will add huge value to our development support of them on an ongoing basis,” added Mackenzie.

Mackenzie has also been given an expanded role as Channel 4’s “Indie Advocate”. This will see him seek to strengthen the broadcaster’s relationships with indies around the country.
