Tangent, the London-headquartered AI experience agency, backed by Brave Bison chiefs Oli and Theo Green and with its Northern hub in Newcastle, has agreed terms to join Exadel, a global AI and digital engineering firm backed by US private equity firm Sun Capital Partners.

Tangent will continue to operate under its existing brand as “an Exadel company” unde rthe “multi-million” pound deal. CEO Leigh Gammons will continue to lead the business as managing director & senior vice president, now reporting in to Exadel CEO Michael Boustridge.

The transaction strengthens Exadel’s AI consulting and delivery capabilities in the UK and Europe, adding a market proven, enterprise-focused platform with client relationships spanning SAP, New Balance, Vodafone, and IWG. It further enhances Exadel’s ability to deliver end-to-end AI programmes for global clients.

For Tangent, the combination provides access to Exadel’s international delivery platform, spanning more than 25 locations across the Americas, Europe and Asia, enabling the business to scale delivery for enterprise clients beyond its current capacity.

Michael Boustridge, CEO of Exadel, said: “What set Tangent apart was not just its AI-driven technical capability, but the team’s unique combination of innovative product thinking and AI-accelerated delivery in a rapidly evolving market. Their approach to AI aligns closely with our vision: using intelligent systems not just to automate tasks, but to help people and businesses make faster, better decisions at scale.

“We’ve followed Tangent’s progress closely, and the combination of AI-powered consultancy and delivery within a single team is exactly what we were looking for in a UK and European partner.”

Oli Green, chairman of Tangent, said: “Tangent has built a reputation for solving complex problems for enterprise clients. Exadel provides the scale and platform to take that capability further, opening up larger opportunities across more markets. We’re confident this combination will accelerate the next phase of growth.”

Together, Tangent and Exadel plan to launch a joint AI accelerator programme for enterprise clients, combining Tangent’s strategic and consultancy expertise with Exadel’s global engineering scale to help organisations move from AI ambition to real-world delivery.
