North East pair launch new agency with UN and Scottish Government among previous portfolio

A new strategic communications agency, MCPR, has now been officially launched as an entity in its own right, offering senior-led public relations, brand storytelling, and reputation management services to organisations across the UK.

Founded by Samuel Marriott-Dowding, MD of award-winning agency Marriott Communications, and PR and communications consultant, Chrissie Pringle, who brings 25 years’ experience leading campaigns across B2B sectors, hospitality, lifestyle, and entertainment, MCPR combines decades of expertise spanning national campaigns, global organisations, and high-growth businesses.

The agency has been officially established, after an award-winning trial run as a partnership between the pair in 2025, to meet the “growing demand for communications support that goes beyond traditional PR, “focusing instead on long-term reputation building, strategic narrative development, and measurable commercial impact.

Founder Marriott-Dowding said: “We launched MCPR to create an agency that combines strategic clarity with creative execution. Too often, PR is focused on outputs rather than outcomes. Our approach is different – we work with organisations to shape perception, build authority, and deliver tangible commercial growth.”

The formation of MCPR has been closely supported by entrepreneur and executive chair of Different Narrative, Ben Quigley.

Co-fonder Pringle added: “Having worked across the hospitality, lifestyle, and B2B sectors for over 25 years, I’ve seen the value of communications done well. MCPR is about bringing that experience together in a way that is agile, senior-led, and focused on driving growth and we are grateful to Ben for all of his guidance and encouragement.”

MCPR provides a full suite of integrated communications services, including strategic PR and communications planning, media relations, creative campaign development, brand positioning, thought leadership, and reputation management.

The agency will focus on key sectors including education, hospitality and lifestyle, professional services, construction and the built environment, energy and sustainability, and digital and creative media.

With a client portfolio that spans organisations such as the United Nations, Scottish Government, and leading hospitality and lifestyle brands, MCPR launches with a strong foundation of experience and a clear ambition, to become a nationally recognised boutique agency known for creative excellence, cultural relevance, and reputation leadership.
