The strike action at Communisis has been called off after a revised pay offer was accepted by staff.
Unite members in Crewe had initially voted for industrial action after rejecting an 8% pay increase, spread over 3 years.
It was originally scheduled to take place at the end of August, but was postponed in order to continue talks.
The new deal is a 3% pay increase for each of the next 3 years.
“I am pleased that Communisis’ management were prepared to listen to members’ concerns and made an improved pay offer. Their actions meant that strike action and any disruption to the company’s work was avoided,” stated Unite regional officer Darren Barton.
“Unite hopes that these negotiations will bring in a new era of co-operation and that the relationship with the company can now be developed and strengthened.”
