Two key hires at This Generation Communications

Liverpool’s This Generation Communications (TGC) has announced two new appointments as the PR firm anticipates a period of exponential growth.

Megan Walsh steps into the role of senior account director while Finbarr Quinn joins as special projects and events executive.

Walsh brings over seven years’ experience in journalism and communications to her new role and will take the lead on some of TGC’s key accounts including Sedulo, Huyton Asphalt, Legacie Developments and RWinvest.

She said: “It’s a really exciting time for TGC and I’m delighted to be joining the team in what has been a significant move for my own PR career. TGC has got some great things lined up for the upcoming months and I’m looking forward to making my mark in this new role.”

With his background in marketing and event management, Quinn will be responsible for the partnerships and production of TGC events including Football For Change and the Women’s Football Awards.

“It’s been great to join TGC ahead of some of the incredible events and projects we have coming up. I can’t wait to get stuck in alongside the team,” he said.

The pair join TGC at an important time for the business and will help the team grow its award-winning portfolio, which includes campaigns such as The Oliver King Foundation, British LGBT Awards and the National Ethnicity Awards.

TGC was founded by former Labour Party senior political advisor and Channel 4 PR officer and Daniel Hughes, who added: “We have big ambitions for the future of TGC and believe the collective experience of Megan and Finbarr will help us to achieve our business goals. We are delighted to welcome the pair to our growing team and look forward to the year ahead.”
