This Generation Communications achieved an 80m media reach for its British LGBT+ Awards campaign.

The Liverpool PR agency was behind the annual awards event in London, taking a lead on celebrity engagement and public relations.

Hosted by Sue Perkins, the winners included Vogue editor Edward Enninful and musician Alicia Keys. It was covered by CNN, Vogue, BBC and Sky.

“The media reach our team achieved – in the United Kingdom and the USA – ensured the awards remain one of the biggest LGBT+ events in Europe and even the world as we celebrate LGBT+ role models,” said TGC founder and Director, Daniel Hughes.

“This was a stunning effort from the entire team and we believe we can surpass 80 million next year as the event goes from strength to strength.”

The agency organised celebrity engagement, proactive PR and a media campaign to raise awareness of the nominees and winners ahead of the event.

The ceremony was covered in every national newspaper across online and print in the UK as well as receiving broadcast coverage in the United States of America.

“TGC delivered the best ever British LGBT Awards and ramped up our UK and global profile significantly. The media reach they delivered is in excess of 80million which is phenomenal,” added British LGBT Awards founder Sarah Garrett MBE.

“The team at TGC also ensured a stellar turnout of celebrity talent which has helped make the British LGBT Awards the most talked about LGBT event of the year by far.”
