Timeline Television will launch its multi-million pound, state-of-the-art outside broadcast truck on the piazza in MediaCityUK on Tuesday 16th May.

The truck, named UHD2, has been designed and built by Timeline Television and includes the latest IP infrastructure and HDR technology.  It is a triple expanding IP 4K HDR 32 camera outside broadcast truck.

“This new outside broadcast truck will provide fully uncompressed IP capability to broadcasters, ” said Daniel McDonnell, MD of MediaCity-based Timeline Television.

“For our customers, it means we can scale and expand our facilities with ease to meet their demands. The IP technology will provide support for up to 32, 4K UHD cabled Sony 4300 cameras and 12, 4K UHD EVS servers.”

Timeline has worked closely with SAM to build the brand new unit.

Timeline’s outside broadcast fleet and team will be on the piazza in MediaCityUK on Tuesday 16th May, from 12-6pm, providing tours and demonstrations.

Other OB trucks on display will include Europe’s first 4K UHD truck, UHD1; 4K production and uplink truck, RF1; mid-sized 4K truck, OB16; and the ultra-compact Streamline.
