Viant, a Time Inc-owned company specialising in people-based marketing, has appointed Gavin Barber as group account director.
Barber will be based in the company’s Manchester office and will head up the company’s sales and account management activity outside of London and the South East.
He will report into Mark Wright, VP of sales at Viant UK.
Previously he held positions at Hearst Magazines, IPC Media and the Daily Mail, and was most recently sales director for out-of-home media owners Airport Media and DigiCom.
Barber said: “I’m thrilled to be heading up the regional sales team at Viant, and look forward to working closely with them to ensure our clients benefit from our people-based platform and execute true cross device campaigns targeting individuals, not cookies.”
