The Voiceover Gallery launches kids division

The Voiceover Gallery says it will champion talent and inclusivity with a new kids operation.

The audio production company, which has studios in Manchester and London has set up The Voiceover Gallery Kids to represent voiceover actors aged 5-16 years old.

Founder, Marylou Thistleton-Smith, explained that it came about after a request to cast an autistic child for Thomas & Friends.

“Having spent the last 20 years building our relationships and reputation in the voiceover industry, we are now ready to extend our offering to include a diverse roster of younger voices for our clients, with the launch of TVG Kids,” she stated.

“This originated when we were asked to cast an autistic child for Bruno in the Thomas & Friends series, and from then on we have been determined to be an agency that’s inclusive for children. We are committed to creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive, so that anyone who has the talent can access voiceovers regardless of any perceived difficulty.”

TVG Kids will represent a range of talent including neurotypical children and those with special educational needs such as ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and impaired hearing.

The team said they will handle every detail of the casting and recording process, with all project managers, engineers and directors inside the studios DBS-checked and experienced in working with all children, including those with SEND.
