Tech Nation has revealed the 10 companies, which it believes are the country’s best early stage tech start-ups.

The Rising Stars 5.0 winners include Liverpool’s VidiVet and Leeds-based legaltech, Just:Access.

They won against 400 applicants and were been chosen by judges for their potential for scaling up quickly to become unicorns of the future.

Each company will receive a bespoke package of support, including an opportunity to showcase the company to investors, accelerators, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and the UK tech community.

This is the fifth and final year of the competition, as Tech Nation will close today.

JUST: Access was founded by CEO Sophie Walker, a practising barrister, with the aim of making legal services more accessible and affordable.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by TechNation as a Rising Star 5.0 winner,” she said.

“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who believe that technology can make legal services more accessible and affordable. It is a huge achievement for us and just highlights the great startups in Yorkshire right now.”

VidiVet recently closed its seed funding round early having raised £310k to fuel its growth.

The 33-strong team gives pet owners immediate access to a uk registered vet, 24 hours a day.
