SysGroup continues growth with second acquisition in a month

Just weeks after its acquisition of Truststream, SysGroup, the Liverpool-headquartered IT services provider, has acquired a Bristol-based counterpart for £1 million.

It has moved for Orchard Computers, which is registered as Independent Network Solutions Ltd and generated £2.1 million in revenue in 2021, working with clients in both the public and private sectors.

Furthern strengthening the expanding Liverpool group’s presence in the South West, the acquisition ws funded from SysGroup’s existing cash reserves.

More than 20 employees will be joining SysGroup from Orchard as part of the deal, with its Directors Ian Terry and Chris Patten remaining with the group to oversee the handover and integration.

Orchard is a well-established, well-respected business with a loyal customer base in the South West of England and I am delighted that we have been able to bring this business into the Group.

“Our enhanced presence in the region will add even more value for the combined customer base and will create a raft of opportunity for all of our team members, including the addition of our 20 new colleagues from Orchard.”

SysGroup has in recent years acquired businesses including Rockford IT in 2018; Certus IT in 2019 for £9 million; Hub Network Services the same year for £1.45 million; and, this month, Edinburgh’s Truststream Security Solutions in a deal worth up to £8 million.
