Chief Productions has produced the title sequence for BBC Sport’s coverage of Euro 2020.

The MediaCityUK-based studio won a pitch for the work in 2019, with an aim to “highlight the excitement and carnival atmosphere” of the competition.

“Chief made the most impressive pitch and have fully delivered on it.  We’re delighted with the final sequence and feel it will appeal to the full sport-watching demographic of the BBC audience,” said Mark Woodward, Creative Lead for BBC Football.

The nations are united through a street art-inspired original animation, to reflect the fact that this is the first Euros to be played at venues across the continent.

It is the brainchild of Chief’s Head of Post, Ben McFarlane and Director and football artist, Yoni Weisberg.
