Starling Bank announces year-long tie in with leading Northern fintech hub

Starling, the digital bank, and FinTech North, the regional UK FinTech hub promoting growth across the North of England, have launched a year-long partnership.

The aim of the tie-up is to strengthen ties within the Northern FinTech community and support engagement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the region. The partnership will deliver a series of roundtables in Manchester, at Starling’s office by St Peter’s Square, exploring the key issues and opportunities shaping the future of the industry.

Starling will also become a sponsor of the not-for-profit’s annual Manchester Conference in 2026, highlighting the bank’s presence in the North and playing a key role in shaping the agenda. The partnership will also help promote content, vacancies, and initiatives to FinTech North’s community of nearly 10,000 people across the North.

Rose Buckler, head of business banking operations at Starling, said: “As someone who has worked in Manchester for over a decade and attended FinTech North’s events for many years, this partnership is exciting and further cements Starling’s commitment to the region. It also shows our shared vision to support small businesses to grow, fuelling new jobs and prosperity in the North of England.”

We’re proud to partner with a business that shares our values of inclusion, diversity, and support for entrepreneurs driving the Northern economy forward.”

FinTech North returns to Manchester next week, on Tuesday 25th November, for its annual conference, shining a spotlight on the city’s accelerating influence within the UK’s fintech ecosystem.
