X.0 Advisory has launched today in Manchester, focusing on fund raising and mergers & acquisitions for digital and technology companies.

It was founded by Nick Horrocks, who led the Manchester office of tech investment bank, GPBullhound.

He said that he’s hoping to help companies undertake their first significant fundraise, up to £5m, and help founders and managers realise value through private equity or M&A.

“I strongly believe the North of England and Scotland has the potential to be a global digital powerhouse. It has a strong history of producing successful technology companies, including Sage, Blue Prism and SkyScanner, and there is real expertise in gaming, enterprise software and e-commerce,” he explained.

“The region is underpinned by a strong history of industry, good infrastructure, international connections and world-class universities. It remains an excellent place to create and grow a world-beating technology company.”
