A number of local agencies took part in the selection process, before Brand8 and another unnamed company were asked to pitch.
“We needed to find a PR agency that had both the commercial acumen and experience to help us increase sales of our personal and business cash plans, whilst also raising awareness of the work of our charitable trust,” explained Helen Cowlin, marketing manager, Sovereign Health Care.
“From our very first meeting, Brand8 PR demonstrated a clear understanding of our business and, in particular, the personal finance and health care sectors. Most importantly, the agency’s integrated approach to public relations and content creation was genuinely refreshing and will ensure that we communicate effectively across traditional, digital and social media.”
The company, which has its headquarters in Bradford doesn’t have any shareholders and any surplus it makes is either reinvested into the business or given by Gift Aid to a charitable trust which distributes the cash. Over the last 4 years, more than £4m has gone to good causes.
Brand8 PR’s managing director, Rob Smith stated: “it is our job to ensure that more people and business owners understand how working with Sovereign Health Care can benefit them.”
