Social Media Makes Sense to handle PR for Channel 5 hedgehog show

Social Media Makes Sense

Manchester’s Social Media Makes Sense has been appointed to handle the PR campaign for Channel 5’s Saving Britain’s Hedgehogs.

The show, which has been commissioned to coincide with Hedgehog Awareness Week, is being produced by Athena Films.

It will be presented by Steve Backshall and follows rescues, rehabilitation and releases at Amazing Grace – a rescue centre set up by Anne Brummer with the support of Queen guitarist Dr Brian May.

Debbie Deeney, Athena’s Head of Productions, said: “We are very happy to have SMMS on board. They are very experienced in promoting the Factual Entertainment genre on social media and have an affinity for animal programmes.”

Jo Booth, SMMS Director, added: “We’re really looking forward to playing a small part in helping to raise awareness about on or Britain’s much-loved animals.  So far, working with Claudia and Debbie at Athena Films has been a delight.”
