‘ROI-driven’ AI consultancy Frame has appointed Liam Bateman as a non-executive director, strengthening its leadership team as the business enters a new phase of growth.
Bateman, who joins co-founders Hannah Bratley and Liam Fulton on the board, brings over 15 years of experience in technology leadership, software development and start-up growth.
Renowned as a leading figure in the North West technology sector, Bateman founded the award-winning app development consultancy Silverchip in 2008, scaling it into one of Manchester’s leading digital agencies before selling to CTI Group in 2022.

Since then, Bateman has co-founded new ventures and worked with scaling businesses as a fractional chief technology officer, helping leadership teams align technology with business strategy.
His track record of building and guiding technology companies, combined with hands-on experience supporting fast-growth businesses, makes him a ‘natural fit’ to strengthen Frame’s board as it enters its next stage of growth.
Hannah Bratley, CEO of Frame, said: “We’re at a really exciting point in Frame’s journey. Businesses are no longer asking ‘should we use AI?’ – they’re asking ‘how do we make this work for us, quickly and effectively?’
“Liam’s track record of building and scaling technology businesses, combined with his ability to advise leadership teams on how to harness tech strategically, will be invaluable as we grow. He brings both challenge and governance, helping us expand sustainably while holding true to our values.”
Liam Bateman, new Non-Executive Director, added: “Frame has already built a strong reputation in the AI space – not just for technical expertise, but for proving that AI can pay for itself many times over. That’s a rare proposition. I was drawn to Frame because of its practical, results-first approach to AI transformation. I’m looking forward to supporting Hannah and Liam as they expand their client base and take the 10x ROI guarantee to more businesses across the UK and beyond.”
Since being founded in 2020, Frame has been working with major brands nationally, including AO, to deliver projects that range from marketing mix modelling and computer vision to large-scale automation.
Alongside this work with established players, Frame also partners with smaller, scaling businesses – most recently helping Birl to secure £350,000 of grant funding to accelerate its AI roadmap, with more to come.
