Sheffield cultural access platform expands into Germany

Tickets for Good has officially launched in Germany, marking a major new chapter for the international platform that provides heavily discounted access to live events for healthcare workers and community organisations.

The announcement was made at the WISE Festival in Berlin, a leading European gathering exploring the intersection of culture, technology, society, and innovation. As part of the programme, Tickets for Good hosted and chaired a panel discussion titled “Live Events & Culture as Medicine”, exploring the growing recognition of arts and live experiences as an important contributor to public health, wellbeing, and social cohesion.

The discussion brought together voices from research, psychology, music, ticketing, and cultural institutions, including representatives from AXS, Fotografiska, Nord University, and Lund University. The panel explored how access to culture can positively impact mental health, reduce isolation, strengthen communities, and potentially play a wider role within future public health infrastructure.

Founded on the belief that culture and entertainment should be accessible to everyone, Tickets for Good works with promoters, festivals, venues, and artists to distribute free tickets to people working in essential roles, particularly healthcare staff and those supporting communities through charitable and social organisations.

Already active across the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, Belgium, and now Germany, the platform has distributed more than 1.2 million tickets worldwide and built a global community of over 680,000 registered members.

The German launch comes at a time when conversations around affordability, wellbeing, and access within live music are becoming increasingly urgent across Europe. As ticket prices continue to rise and financial pressures reshape audiences’ relationship with culture,

Tickets for Good positions itself as part of a wider movement recognising live experiences not simply as entertainment, but as an important part of social connection and wellbeing.

Steve Rimmer, CEO of Tickets for Good, said: “Live events have the power to bring people togetherGermany has one of the strongest cultural scenes anywhere in the world, so launching here felt incredibly important to us. We want to work with promoters, venues, festivals, and artists who believe culture should remain something people can participate in.”

The German expansion is being led in partnership with Axel & Boris, founding partners DACH for Tickets for Good and founders of Yesss Capital, as well as longtime supporters of cultural, community, and socially driven projects. With backgrounds spanning technology, live culture, and creative entrepreneurship, they are helping build Tickets for Good’s presence across Germany through partnerships rooted in access, collaboration, and shared social value.

Ahead of the official launch announcement at WISE Festival, Tickets for Good hosted a special pre-launch gathering at Badehaus Berlin on Tuesday 28 April 2026, bringing together members of Berlin’s music and creative communities alongside representatives from organisations including Doctors Without Borders, Viva con Agua, and Die Arche.

The event featured performances from Rusty Egan of Visage, Berlin-based singer-songwriter Josh Savage, and emerging German indie artist MYLLER. Rather than a formal industry showcase, the evening was designed as a reflection of the platform’s wider ethos: live music as a space for connection, community, and shared experience.

Tickets for Good has already partnered internationally with artists including Robbie Williams, Pixies, Dua Lipa, IDLES, UB40, and Yungblud, alongside support from figures such as former Dutch international goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.

The organisation is now inviting German promoters, festivals, venues, healthcare providers, and cultural organisations to join the platform as part of its wider national rollout. Tickets for Good and AXS are also in discussions to extend their existing UK partnership into the DACH region.
