Sheffield agency teams up with 70,000-strong Welsh building society

Sheffield’s The SEO Works is pitching in with a new digital transformation drive for Welsh building society the Monmouthshire Building Society.

The Monmouthshire, established in 1869, is a financial services provider headquartered in Newport, the home of Goldie Lookin’ Chain, and offering mortgages and savings accounts to over 70,000 members.

As part of an ongoing digital transformation programme within the company, the society spent time developing a new app, migrating its website and enhancing UX. To maximise the impact of the improvements and ensure valuable information reached customers effectively, the society partnered with The SEO Works to strengthen their SEO strategy.

Monmouthshire hopes the partnership with The SEO Works will increase visibility on existing B2C services, including mortgages and customer savings, while aiming to promote its services without being entirely ‘rate-driven’ and, instead, they aim to focus on their other USPs.

The SEO campaign will aim to position the brand as a professional, customer-first and self-service led building society.

Alongside the B2C services, another core part of the digital transformation is the relaunch of new B2B business savings accounts. This blank slate, says the brand, is “an ideal opportunity for the team at The SEO Works to plan and set in motion the campaign.” The team can strategically plan the best approach and complete in-depth audits and analysis, integrating great on-page and off-page SEO practices from the start.

Peter Johnson, senior digital marketing partner at Monmouthshire BS, said: “We’re excited to be partnering with The SEO Works to enhance our online presence and connect with even more people in our communities. Their expertise will help us engage with both new and existing customers, share the benefits of our products and services, and achieve our ambitious digital goals for the future.”

Alex Hill, sales director at The SEO Works, added” “We’re really looking forward to getting started on this collaboration with Monmouthshire Building Society. Being given the chance to work with them on both existing and new projects is incredibly exciting, and we hope to see excellent results from this partnership in the coming months.”

The SEO Works has worked with other banking and investment companies, including Payset and Invest In Goal.
