Hedgehog Lab has won its first ever 7-figure contract, with the Hong King-based Central Wealth Financial Group.
The Newcastle-based agency will be building Android and iOS platforms for the fintech retail firm.
It’s worth £1.1m per year for at least 2 years.
“This represents a step-change for us,” said Sarat Pediredla, Hedgehog Lab’s CEO.
“We are now playing in the big league, effectively competing with companies such as IBM and Accenture.
“That means we can continue to invest in our expertise and resources, helping us move our organisation into the next level.”
Central Wealth Financial Group provides an online marketplace, based on a bespoke cryptocurrency, derived from Bitcoin.
Alan Morris, Hedgehog’s technical director explained that the team had just 6 weeks to turn the project around.
“The team showed amazing dedication and technical expertise, often working beyond their normal hours to ensure the deadline was met.
“This allowed us to gain the trust of an international client.”
The agency has seen major growth over the last 9 months, with headcount rising from 30 to 83.
