North East creative agency, Unwritten, has made a number of senior appointments.

Based in Newcastle, it has recruited Toby Bridges, the Chair of NBT Group as its first non-executive director. He’s spent a number of years as mentor to managing director and founder, Lisa Eaton.

NBT Group is one of the region’s fastest growing companies and the tech entrepreneur also sits on the Scale-up Advisory Board.

“Unwritten has scaled significantly over a short period of time, building an impressive track record and an excellent reputation for client services. Lisa has set ambitious targets for further growth over the next five years – this ambition is why I took the role with the business. I believe the team will achieve great things and I’m delighted to be on this journey with them,” he stated.

Elsewhere, Nicola Quinn joins as PR and Communications Director. She’s previously worked at the RNLI and Newcastle Airport. Lisa McFarlane, one of the agency’s first recruits has been promoted to Operations Director.

“Our strategic approach, focussed on understanding customer behaviour, means that our creative campaigns have proven to deliver a robust return on investment and measurable growth for our clients. To date, we have worked with some incredible organisations such as Northumbrian Water, Newcastle University Business School, NHS International, and The National Innovation Centre for Ageing to name a few,” said Eaton.

“Expanding our service offering by launching a new communications service is the organic next step for the business. Our model is centred on delivering demonstrable results therefore reinforcing the value of joined-up, consistent communications. We are using the latest technology and digital tools to ensure the campaigns we work on resonate with the target audience and make a difference.”
