Scottish novelist Sophie Gravia and Real Housewife of Cheshire Christine McGuinness Situationships are teaming up for a new BBC podcast, Situationships with Sophie and Christine.
Gravia is known for her hilarious, sexy and brutally honest novels, while TV personality and model McGuinness has also published her own biography as well as appearing on popular daytime show Loose Women.
From romances to friendships, family dynamics to work flatmates, no situationship is off limits in this bright, energetic and unfiltered podcast, commissioned by BBC Scotland and produced in Glasgow for BBC Sounds.

Each week, the pair promise to take audiences on a rollercoaster ride of funny, bizarre and downright weird stories of when relationships take an unexpected turn. The podcast sees the duo explore listeners’ dating dilemmas, relationship revelations and situationship struggles. As well as offering judgement-free advice, Sophie and Christine give a glimpse into their own lives and situationships as they juggle the pressures of dating, parenting and their careers.
Situationships with Sophie and Christine is fully visualised and episode 1 is available now on BBC Sounds, BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer.

Gravia said: “I think it’s just going to be so much fun, and I know we will have a laugh together. It will also be nice to see Christine showing listeners a new side of her.”
McGuinness added: “For me it will help me be a bit freer. I have always kept my private life quite private, and I feel like it’s the right time for me to be a bit more open. And to have a giggle with Sophie and not feel judged in any way – she is so free and is kind of like my spirit animal.”
Gravia also promised that the podcast won’t be pulling any punches in terms of honesty: “Nothing is off limits – that is the basis of the podcast,” she said. “A lot of it will involve us chatting about different kinds of situationships and giving advice to listeners on their issues. From dating dilemmas to relationship disasters to flatmate problems.”
