Rockstar has revealed an extended trailer of the new Grand Theft Auto franchise on Netflix.
It comes after a week of unauthorised gameplay leaks, and the trailer has received pretty much universal praise, with journalists calling it the “best-looking game” to date.
To say it’s a long-awaited return of the franchise, is probably an understatement, when it is released in November, it will be 13 years after its prequel.
Likely one of the most expensive games in history, it’s difficult to believe that back in the 90s, Dundee-based DMA didn’t think it would work.
The team were mid-development on a handful of titles and voted Grand Theft Auto the least likely of them to make it.
They were wrong, when it was release, 29 years ago, in November 1997 it spurned a hugely successful franchise, with GTA 5 alone selling more than 90m copies.
DMA became part of Rockstar in 2002, rebranding as Rockstar North.

Of the trailer’s debut on Netflix, the global stramer stated
