Freethinking Group, the parent company of Republic of Media has named Clare Elder as its new Director of Strategy.
Elder joins the Manchester and Edinburgh based media agency from OMD UK, where she was Head of Creative Strategy. Prior to that she was at Starcom and Havas.
“Clare wasn’t looking for an agency role but we’re delighted that we’ve managed to convince her to join the group,” said Simon Crunden, Group CEO.
“She’s an exceptional talent with a breadth of experience across multiple categories. She brings the blend of positive energy, new business brilliance and strategic ‘big picture’ thinking that we have been looking for. This is a major coup for us, and I have no doubt that Clare will add value to our largest clients and across the business in many ways.”
In the newly created role, Elder will join the boards of both TFG and Republic of Media, working with clients including bet365, Crown Commercial Services, Landsec, Whyte & Mackay and The Scottish Government.
