Prime Video has confirmed that the third season of drama, Reacher, will be based on the book Persuader.
Reacher is inspired by Lee Child’s novels and he is an executive producer on the series.
Child, who spent almost 20 years at Granada in Manchester, working on hit dramas including Brideshead Revisited, Prime Suspect and Cracker, became an author after being made redundant.
Persuader is the 7th book in the Jack Reacher series, with filming currently underway in Toronto. Alan Ritchson will continue in the title role.
Reacher Season Two was the number one show on Prime Video worldwide across both series and movies in 2023 during its premiere weekend (based on viewership). The series’ global audience grew 50% between seasons in the first three days after the second season’s debut on December 15, 2023.
The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios.
