Manchester-based Big Bang PR has been appointed by global ticketing and event platform Eventbrite to handle its media relations in the UK.

The PR agency, launched by Paula Hunter and Samantha Jones in 2021, will be responsible for press office activity and PR campaigns for Eventbrite.

Following the demand for live experiences, Big Bang PR will showcase the wide range of live events on its platform as well as the creators behind them.

The agency will also aim to amplify Eventbrite’s mission to unite audiences through live experiences, end social isolation and reconnect local communities.

Since the Big Bang PR launched, it has secured several new retained clients including The Utley Foundation’s Music for Dementia campaign and financial firms, SoMo and Payl8r.

Eventbrite’s Director of European Communications, Sebastian Boppert said: “It’s incredibly refreshing to work with very seasoned PR professionals in your day to day. With Big Bang PR, the people you meet during the pitch stage are actually your team. No bait and switch, but creative, hands-on, and proactive PRs that delivers results.”

Paula Hunter, joint managing director at Big Bang PR, added: “The events sector has faced lots of challenges over the last two years, but has found inspiring ways to keep going. Now that the community is coming out on the other side, we’re looking forward to helping Eventbrite draw attention not only to the plethora of events on the platform but also the innovative solutions the company has developed to support its event creators.”
