Polaris lands four maritime clients

Polaris Media has expanded its maritime portfolio with new wins from around the world.

The Merseyside-based PR firm has been brought in by Oman Shipping Company, one of the biggest ship operators in the Gulf, to promote a new feeder service. It’s also been given an extended brief by Mumbai ship management firm, MMSI, to publicise its supply of seafarers to the international tanker market.

Closer to home, it will also be raising the UK and international profile of Hull-based winch manufacturer, Romina and ship engine company, Kineteco, from Kent.

“We identified a gap in the market for a maritime specialist PR firm and have worked hard over the last five years to promote our service locally, nationally and internationally,” said Polaris director Ben Pinnington.

“It is great to see this paying off with winning work outside the region and the UK.”

Pinnington added that they saw the UK, Middle East and India as key growth markets, which is why they’ve partnered with Indian maritime marketing specialist, Marex Media.

“Our partnership with Marex was welcomed by the Indian Government director general of shipping Deepak Shetty who attended our launch. Mr Shetty was very supportive of UK maritime firms helping India develop its maritime infrastructure reflecting the deep bonds between India and the UK.”
