Pizza Hut has revealed the full list of 68 restaurants that will close as the longstanding brand undergoes administration for the second time in a year, with almost half – 31 restaurants – in the North and Scotland.
Pizza Hut’s new global owner, Yum! Brands, which has bought the brand from DC London Pie in the latest administration, has agreed to save 64 restaurants, preserving 1,276 jobs, however the closures, which will also include 11 delivery sites, are set to make around the same number of jobs redundant, and will feature some very well-known sites in our region, including the branches at Liverpool ONE and Leeds’ White Rose Shopping Centre.
In our region, the North West is worst affected, with 13 restaurants set to shut, plus one more in North Wales.
A spokesperson for Pizza Hut UK said yesterday: “We are pleased to secure the continuation of 64 sites to safeguard our guest experience and protect the associated jobs.”
