Freelance photographer Joel Goodman has accused the organisers of Manchester Pride of “censoring” the event by asking him to leave Monday’s candlelit vigil and threatening to ban him from future events.
Goodman, who came to national prominence when he was assaulted by ‘yellow vest protestor’ James Goddard while working for the Manchester Evening News at a protest in February, is gay and HIV positive.
He claims he was asked to leave the vigil because he had photographed a lesbian TERF/ gender ideology protest act during Manchester Pride.
“I was stunned when the same member of Manchester Pride’s PR team approached me as I was setting up and told me that they didn’t want me to be there, that she wanted me to leave,” Goddard wrote on his personal website.
