PHD negotiates Sandtex sponsorship with Sky News

sandtexThe Manchester office of media buying agency PHD has negotiated a four month sponsorship package on behalf of Sandtex, owned by Crown Paints, and The Sportsline reports on Sky News.

The deal will commence in May.

Sandtex claims to be the UK’s ‘leading exterior masonry paint brand’.

The association with Sky will revolve around the brand’s perception as a paint that can stand up to the harshest of weather conditions and will use idents across three key sports scenarios: rugby, football and golf.

Julie Olsson, marketing manager at Crown Paints said “We are delighted with the Sky and Sportsline partnership, which will provide us with a compelling platform to promote the brand both to our consumer and trade base.”

The deal struck by Omnicom Media Group’s PHD operation in Manchester, will also include PHD’s sister agency, Drum, which specialises in content, to build upon the sponsorship deal in related areas.

Crown Paints is a client of PHD in Manchester. Other clients handled by the office include AG Barr, Manchester City Football Club, New Balance, Bentley, CrossCountry and Jewson.
