Another Oasis tour announcement appears to be officially on the way, as rumoured for months since the conclusion of their long-awaited 2025 reunion tour, after a huge drone display in the band’s honour lit up the night sky over East Manchester last night trailing the cryptic (or not so cryptic if we safely assume an official announcement) date of 14.09.26, 4pm BST.
The drones went above the Etihad stadium, home of the Gallagher brothers. beloved Manchester City, where the current rumour mill coincidentally suggests they’ll be playing a string of dates as part of their touted 2027 tour.
The band have been hinting at a new tour on social media for months, alongside a host ofd leaked “dates” of varying levels of believability, but last night’s spectacle suggests we’ll finally know what’s going on for sure next week.

The display kicked off at the Etiihad just before 11pm, just as thousands of fans were pouring out of the neighbouring Co-op Live Arena after the Evanescence gig – admittedly not the most likely target audience for an Oasis tour.
Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher finally put aside their differences back in 2024 after 16 years of animosity, following the band’s long-gestating split after a backstage fight at 2009’s Rock en Seine Festival, announcing a reunion tour for the summer of 2025.
Oasis Live ’25 set the world alight, and was a marketer’s dream, with everything from beer to bucket hats and parkas to podcasts getting a boost from the rock’n’roll revival. That tour included five massive nights at Heaton Park in the brothers’ Manchester hometown.
It’s probably fair to say they could have sold those Heaton Park gigs out twice over, and if the rumours are to be believed, that’s what they’ll be going for this time, with one “leak” a hefty 12-night stint at the Etihad Stadium next summer, between June 4 and 27.
They’re also tipped to return to Knebworth, the site of their historic, record-breaking 1996 gig, where 250,000 fans watched them play alongside solid support from The Prodigy, Manic Street Preachers, The Charlatans, Cast, The Chemical Brothers, and Kula Shaker, as well as cities across Europe.
Fans will be hoping to avoid a report of the debacle surrounding tickets in 2025, when dynamic pricing and servers struggling under the massive demand briefly stole almost as many headlines as the shows themselves. It’s a reasonable bet that we’ll know more on Monday 14 September at 4pm.
