Channel 4 has achieved its biggest streaming day on record, with 6.9m views.
The figures on 30th September were measured through the Channel 4 app on small and big screens (excluding viewing via Sky, EE TV and Virgin TV).
They beat the previous record of 6.4m achieved in October last year.

According to Channel 4 the views were driven by Married At First Sight UK, The Great British Bake Off, Made In Chelsea, Four In a Bed, Taskmaster and Northern dramas and documentaries Hollyoaks, The Disappearance of Jay Slater, Educating Yorkshire, Lucy Letby: Murder or Mistake.

“This is a landmark moment for Channel 4, as we hit our biggest streaming day ever with 6.9 million views,” said Ian Katz, Chief Content Officer, Channel 4.
“It’s a powerful testament to the strength of our Altogether Different line-up — where reality, drama, factual and documentary programming come together to captivate audiences.
“From the irresistible drama of Married At First Sight UK to the cultural impact of Educating Yorkshire and the gripping storytelling of Lucy Letby: Murder or Mistake, our content continues to resonate deeply with viewers across the UK.”
Last year the broadcaster launched its “Fast Forward” strategy to accelerate its transformation into a digital-first public service streamer by 2030.
Returning to Hollyoaks, which this year marks its 30th Anniversary, Lime Pictures is to open up the set for tours – but for one week only.
Visitors will be able to buy tickets in advance to get a guided tour through the fictional village and explore the sets, but only on 25th and 26th October.
