Screen Alliance North has launched a new programme to support scripted production across the region.
Into The Lead has been created for leaders working in indies across film, TV or digital to get professional development support.
The networking event and 6 online leadership sessions will cover digital and new technology, sustainability, leadership and business innovation.
The aim is to strengthen the sector outside of London.

“Raising the bar in the North for good working practice, inclusivity and long term sustainability is at the heart of our cluster’s ambitions. We hope this programme will support leaders to embed positive practices within their production companies and contribute to a more accessible and resilient screen industry across the North of England,” said Penny Hall, partnership lead, Screen Alliance North.
The programme will be delivered by N&R creative industry consultancy Under The Moon Ltd and creative business innovators Creaticity Ltd.
“The aim is to join up some of the North’s most ambitious leaders working at scripted indies and provide them with case studies, inspiration and practical support to match their effectiveness at a time of rapid change for the screen sector, whilst also ensuring they are leading by example, creating sustainable and healthy workplaces. Technology and global markets are moving fast and this focussed Into the Lead programme will help them keep pace,” added Ruth Pitt, director, Under The Moon.
Applicants will be selected by mid-December and will attend a networking launch event on 14th January.
The project is funded by Screen Alliance North, a BFI Skills Cluster, supported by BFI National Lottery funding.
