Ten companies have been shortlisted for a £30k Innovation Showcase prize at Venturefest Manchester 2016.
They will each pitch their business to an audience, which will then vote on who will take away the prize package.
Held next month, the conference has been organised by Business Growth Hub and Innovate UK, with keynote speeches from City Council chief executive, Sir Howard Bernstein and Siemen’s CEO Juergen Maier.
Among the finalists are scanable payment specialists, VST Enterprises; and digital brand agency, Nothing But Epic.
The £30k prize is made up of contributions from “Hub partners” including Virgin Trains, Sci-Tech Daresbury and Appleyard Lees.
