No Brainer bags sustainability brief with HAHN Plastics UK

Cheshire-based search-driven content agency No Brainer has secured a new client win with sustainability firm HAHN Plastics UK.

The Swinton-headquartered recycling business, part of the wider HAHN Group, has appointed the agency on a retained brief covering PR, thought leadership, and website design and build as it looks to support its next phase of growth.

HAHN Plastics manufactures products using post-consumer recycled plastic for use across sectors including landscaping, agriculture and infrastructure. Internationally, the group processes around 90,000 tonnes of plastic each year, producing approximately 65,000 tonnes of its hanit® material.

The partnership will focus on raising HAHN’s profile in the UK market and increasing awareness of its products, alongside supporting sales growth.

Gary Jenkins, co-founder and managing director at No Brainer, said: “It’s a real privilege to be working with HAHN Plastics at such an important phase in its growth. Our goal is to make HAHN and hanit both industry and category leaders in their space – and we’re looking forward to working closely with the team to do that.”

Dave Watson, managing director at HAHN Plastics UK, added: “The volume of plastic waste remains persistently high*, while too much of it still isn’t being effectively reused. At the same time, there’s growing pressure on industries to move away from traditional materials that don’t always deliver the longevity or environmental performance required.

“At HAHN, we demonstrate that this ‘unusable’ plastic can be turned into durable, high-performance materials that last for decades in the outdoor environment. But for that shift to happen at scale, we need to effectively communicate both the environmental and practical benefits of these materials.

“That’s why this partnership is so important. It helps us to clearly articulate and boost visibility of the role recycled materials can play in reducing waste and supporting a more circular approach to construction and infrastructure.”

According to UK Government data from DEFRA, significant volumes of plastic waste continue to go unreused, highlighting the wider challenge the sector is facing.
