Yunex Traffic, a global leader in intelligent transport systems, has partnered with Newcastle based Notify Technology to integrate a smart health and safety management platform.

Yunex is working to create smarter, safer and more sustainable cities, through next generation traffic management systems. From smart intersections and tunnels to road-user charging, Yunex Traffic provides innovative solutions to transform where we live and work, for a better quality of life, keeping people moving with fewer accidents.

With over 3,300 people spread across 40 countries, Yunex Traffic needed one platform to keep their workforce safe and bring all of its health and safety management operations together.

Notify, an industry leader in smart, scalable, and secure safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) management systems, has now been contracted to provide a range of modules to help Yunex Traffic – all of which are fully customised to the company’s needs and brand, and designed entirely to work in a way that suits their business.

With Incident Management, the company looks after the safety of their people wherever they are in the world. Employees can capture incidents and safety observations in real time, from any location. This helps to increase employee engagement and promote positive health and safety behaviours across the whole organisation. It also provides leaders with an accurate and consistent overview of incident reporting, which can be used to make informed decisions faster and with more confidence.

Yunex Traffic has also adopted Notify’s Audits and Inspections module to build and manage repeating or one-off safety checks. With everything in one place, and a business-wide view of their data, they can now conduct their audits and safety inspections on the go – a huge benefit for employees who are working remotely or on site.

This capability is complemented by the Action Tracking and Dashboards modules, which allow supervisors and managers to quickly drill down into the data. This means they can focus on individuals or departments, whilst also obtaining a complete status view of actions across the whole organisation.

Christoph Roth, head of business excellence at Yunex Traffic, explains: “We selected Notify Technology for its ability to rapidly deploy software across our global operations. We’ve been impressed with how Notify has handled the go-live, including close communication with Yunex Traffic, and the migration of historical data, and we are excited to continue our partnership as we focus on developing our proactive safety culture, based on leading indicators.”

Yunex Traffic, which is headquartered in Germany, was one of Notify’s first partners to benefit from its multi-language capabilities, using the German version of the platform alongside English. The Newcastle-based company rolled out its platform in Dutch, Spanish and Mongolian in 2022 and French in early 2023, with more languages to follow.

Duncan Davies, CEO at Notify Technology said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Yunex Traffic, whose service offering is fundamentally tied to helping make roads safer, and the environment cleaner. They speak powerfully about a mobility revolution and it’s inspiring to see their solutions working across 110 cities around the world to make mobility environmentally friendly on a permanent basis. We’ve really enjoyed collaborating with Christoph and the team, and we’re excited to watch Notify’s usage expand as it’s adopted around the Yunex Traffic global business.”
