Newcastle-based Google Ads expert Darren Taylor has formally launched Lead Velocity, a new consultancy redefining what businesses should expect from paid search management.
Darren Taylor has spent 14 years running Google Ads campaigns for organisations from local SMEs to FTSE 100 and NASDAQ-listed corporations and has now launched Lead Velocity, an agency offering a service that not only tracks conversions but “implements a full start to end strategy that gives clients a full overview on how they are spending.”
Taylor’s Google Ads-focused YouTube channel is a trusted voice within the space and has amassed over 47,000 subscribers and 2.5 million views on the platform.

“It seems that most of the businesses that come to me have already tried an agency,” said Taylor. “They spend a lot of money, without fully understanding what they are paying for and find themselves back to square one six months later. From the outside campaigns look good but the problem is everything around them. Tracking isn’t set up properly, the landing pages aren’t built for the search intent, and the data you are getting back from the ads is poor quality.”
Taylor cites Ace Garden Maintenance as an example of his agency at work. The firm showed an 80% conversion rate increase following Lead Velocity’s first ads campaign, where it created purpose-built landing pages. Another client, Logowear Express saw the same increase over a shorter period of time, while Supreme Shopfront reported a 10% improvement.
Lead Velocity currently holds a perfect 5.0 rating across its 15 verified reviews on REVIEWS.io and is built on the belief that performance and trust are the most important factors in every campaign.
“If the work is good, you don’t need to trap people. I’d rather earn that trust every month,” added Taylor.
The founder has also created a mentorship community on the Skool platform called the Google Ads Success Blueprint. It’s designed for marketers and business owners to “strengthen their knowledge so they can manage their accounts better without having to spend the usual budget they would on an agency to manage their account.”
The educational side of the business is something that Darren is aiming to improve over the next six to 12 months with more resources currently being developed and plans to offer free resources such as Google ads audits, templates, keyword tools and tracking guides on the Lead Velocity website.
