Newcastle agency – from “close to collapse” to doubling turnover

ROAR Digital Marketing says it’s on target for a £550k turnover this financial year, as its turnover doubles again.

Founder, Michael Knowles admitted that his Tyneside agency had come a long way since the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Reflecting back to when the company was close to collapse when Covid-19 hit, the growth ROAR Digital Marketing has experienced ever since has been remarkable,” he explained.

“It’s been a long and difficult journey to get to where we are but, with the hard work of the excellent team here, we have consistently provided a professional and knowledgeable service to ensure we improve business’ search engine rankings and significantly boost their online visibility.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the team for the exceptional results they deliver for a variety of clients working across all sectors, and I’m looking forward to continuing to watch them as individuals and as a team develop ROAR even further in the coming years.”

Knowles is a former Google Digital trainer and University Lecturer, he said that in 2022/23 the agency recorded £282k turnover – that was a 100% increase on the year before. Its client base has also doubled, while it’s increased staff numbers to 6.
