New VP incoming as headcount nears 50 at Leeds cybersecurity specialist

There’s a new VP at BGF-backed Boxphish – a Leeds-headquartered human risk management platform – following of growth of both customer wins and headcount.

All areas of the business have seen an injection of talent, with new team members across sales, marketing, customer success, product, IT and operations, as headcount rises to nearly 50.

Among the new team members is Laura Davies, who joins the senior leadership team as VP commercial. With more than seven years’ experience across customer success and partnerships, most recently as head of customer success at PropertyBox, Davies will be integral in facilitating the structure and in-team capability needed to support Boxphish’s rapid growth, as well as ensuring ongoing customer success.

The headcount increase has been driven by a significant number of customer wins, including household names Aston Martin and the Natural History Museum, as well as property developer, Berkeley Group PLC and British bank, Vanquis.

“Across the year, we developed a range of new products that help elevate awareness and further influence security behaviours, and have plans in place to ensure we maintain the incredible momentum we’ve seen this year.

“Strategic senior hires are key to our long-term strategy and we’re thrilled to have Laura on board. She’s taking on a crucial role that’s going to help us deliver more value to our customers and build stronger working relationships with OEM partners”.

Incoming VP Davies added: “Organisations increasingly recognise that cyber security awareness is no longer solely an IT responsibility – it’s a cultural and people-driven priority for modern organisations. I’m particularly looking forward to working with the talented individuals across the business, building on the strong foundations already in place, and driving sustainable commercial growth through meaningful partnerships and exceptional customer experiences.”
