Noah Media Group, the multi-award-winning sports documentary and non-scripted specialist behind Hatton (Sky) and 14 PEAKS: Nothing is Impossible (Netflix) has appointed Adam Cohen as head of development.
Cohen joins the Noah Media team after a successful tenure at KEO Films and Fulwell 73, bringing with him a proven track record in developing and packaging premium non-scripted content with international appeal.
Adam’s journey in the film and media industry began in 2013 when his first documentary was picked up for a non-broadcast pilot by Tiger Aspect Productions. In 2017 he took his talents to Fulwell 73, working on both scripted and non-scripted content. In 2019, Adam was given the opportunity to establish and lead a development team at Fulwell dedicated to music and sport documentaries.
This department achieved remarkable success, including the sale of two feature documentaries to SKY – Supergreed and (the awesome) Who Killed the KLF – two unscripted series to Netflix –Captains and The World Cup – and the recently released Mud, Sweat and Tears for Amazon Prime.
While at Fulwell, Cohen also developed projects such as Jack Whitehall’s Training Days for YouTube Originals and Amongst the Stars for Disney+, further solidifying his reputation as a creative force in the industry.
Cohen said: “I’m delighted to be joining Noah Media Group. Their groundbreaking sports documentaries have repeatedly set the standard and what’s in production via their content fund will take this to an incredibly exciting new level. With our shared sporting background and an aligned ambition to tell global stories that transcend, I’m thrilled to be joining the team at such an exciting juncture.”
John McKenna, CEO at Noah Media Group added: “Adam’s appointment as head of development signals an exciting new chapter for us as a company. His impressive achievements, creative acumen, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable addition to the Noah Media team at a very exciting time for the company.”
Cohen is already utilising Noah’s audience analytic technology, SlateIQ, to help with the development team’s decision-making, packaging and identifying ideal partners in the UK and internationally.
Noah Media is currently in production with five global feature documentaries through its Content Fund, which are all set to be released in 2024, including a feature length documentary on track & field icon and nine-time Olympic gold medallist Carl Lewis, executive produced by Emmy Award-winning athlete empowerment brand Uninterrupted, founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter.
