New event partner revealed for Digital City Festival’s Made in the North Summit and Exhibition

Cascade event partner Digital City Festival Made in the North Summit

Brand experience agency Cascade has confirmed as an event partner for Digital City Festival’s Made in the North Summit and Exhibition, an unmissable event for the North’s broadcast and media sectors.

Made in the North Summit will be hosted on Tuesday 16 April at Hot House – Open Centre, MediaCity, where leaders will unite to discuss how the North’s media and broadcast industries can work better together, and address industry challenges, opportunities and much more.

It will be co-located with a Made in the North exhibition, a free to attend showcase of all the talent, tech and facilities in these sectors across the North. Find out more about this here.

“We’re delighted to be a part of Made in the North. Our business was created in a back bedroom out of South Manchester in 1996, and we’ve evolved from a production company into a full service brand experience agency working with some of Britain’s best known companies to create memorable experiences. Storytelling is at the heart of our business, and we’re thrilled to be amongst Manchester’s creatives throughout April,” said a spokesperson for Cascade.

We recently revealed leaders from ITV Studios, Pact, Screen Yorkshire, Talent for Tech, and Liverpool Screen School will be speaking at the afternoon event in MediaCity.

Alison Gwynn, chief executive at North East Screen, will also be joining a keynote session called Screw The Silos – Bringing The North Together.

Joining Laura Caveney-Morgan, Executive Editor of Tonight – ITV Studios, this session will address how we can pave a way forward for regions across the North to act as ‘one voice’ to collaborate, and shout more about the work and talent from the region.

As the leader at North East Screen, Gwynn has over 25 years of experience in the culture and creative industry from providing marketing leadership at the Centre for Life to being instrumental in the planning and development of Seven Stories, the National Centre for Children’s Books. North East Screen focuses on economic recovery and growth to deliver the sustainable development of the screen industries in the region.

With more industry leading speakers set to be revealed soon, check out the full agenda, speakers and secure your free place to attend the Summit here.
