Manchester fashion retailer, N Brown, has revealed its results for the first quarter, this morning.

They show that total revenue at the group has fallen by -3.8%, but that digital has increased by 3%.

It comes a year after it announced plans to close all of its high street stores and go digital-only. Now digital makes up 83% of its total income, an increase of 9% year on year.

“We’re pleased to report a solid trading performance in the first quarter. In line with our strategy, we delivered digital revenue growth across JD Williams, Simply Be, Ambrose Wilson and Jacamo as we continue to improve our customer offer whilst managing the decline of our legacy offline business,” stated CEO, Steve Johnson.

“The retail market remains challenging, but we have a clear strategy to deliver profitable digital growth and our full year expectations are unchanged.”

The figures also revealed that 84% of its digital traffic came from mobile.

Its Jacamo brand saw an 8.8% increase in digital revenue; Simply Be was up 4.6%, with womenswear as a whole up 5.9%.
