The team at Mather & Co, who were responsible for designing the award-winning Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum in 2006, has also been commissioned to create an Andy Murray ‘photo opportunity’ in the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, for visitors to have their photo taken with a life size backlit image of the 2013 champion.

“The new exhibition space within the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum will give visitors an insight into the background of the trophies – not only from the point of view of who won them, but also in terms of their design and history,” said Ashley Jones, commercial manager of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum.

The exhibit will also include films about the intricate details of the trophies and interviews with previous champions and footage of the finals.

Chris Mather, managing director of Mather & Co, added: “We’re thrilled to be returning to Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum to create a new trophies exhibit and Andy Murray photo opportunity in what has been such an exciting year of the competition for Great Britain.”

Mather & Co has previously delivered exhibitions for the likes of the South African Rugby Union and the National Football Museum. The Wimbledon exhibit will open at Easter.
