The BBC’s summer of cricket continues this August as The Hundred returns for a third year.

Manchester Originals and Leeds’ Northern Superchargers will be back in the mix as they attempt to unseat Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets as champions of the women’s and men’s competitions respectively.

Combining sporting action with live music, fans can enjoy the fast-paced format live across BBC TV, radio and online from Tuesday 1 until Sunday 27 August.

Launching in 2021, The Hundred brings together eight teams from across seven cities, including some of the best international and domestic players from the men’s and women’s game. The full roster of teams is: Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers (Leeds), Oval Invincibles (London), Southern Brave (Southampton), Trent Rockets (Nottingham) and Welsh Fire (Cardiff).

Once again, the BBC’s showcase matches will feature live music performances from hotly tipped rising stars supported by BBC Music Introducing, with DYLAN kicking things off at Trent Bridge and Rudimental headlining the final at Lord’s.

Barbara Slater, Director of BBC Sport says: “I’m excited to see our summer of cricket coverage continue with The Hundred in August. Our extensive, multi-platform coverage has brought the sport to new audiences over the past two years, and I cannot wait for it to do the same again in 2023.”

A total of 16 games, starting with the opening game double header between Trent Rockets and Southern Brave, and finishing with August 27’s final at Lord’s, are available to watch live across BBC TV and iPlayer.

Former player and World Cup winner, Isa Guha, presents the action alongside James Anderson, Heather Knight, Moeen Ali, Alex Hartley, Carlos Brathwaite, Tash Farrant, Sir Alastair Cook, Michael Vaughan, Phil Tufnell, Tymal Mills and Steven Finn.

Every ball of every match is also live on BBC Radio 5 Live, 5 Sports Extra or via the BBC Sport website and app.
