Manchester has been confirmed as the location for Netflix’s live special, Beat Luke Littler.
It will be broadcast live from Manchester Central Convention Complex on October 30th.
The show will see 20 amateur players see if they can beat the World Number 1 in a one-off leg of 501 – with the chance to win £501,000.
An open audition in London saw thousands of hopefuls try to get into the last 20, with another heat taking place in Manchester this weekend. Here amateurs will face a 3-stage selection process which starts with an attempt to complete a single leg of 501 in 24 darts or less.
Those who are successful will move onto an interview with the show’s producers, Workerbee, before a final assessment in front of founder and president of Matchroom Sport, Barry Hearn; 16x darts world champion, Phil “The Power” Taylor; and professional darts player and TV pundit, Laura Turner.

“We saw a huge amount of talent in London last week and I’m expecting a similar level of quality in Manchester this weekend,” said Phil Taylor.
“The opportunity to face Luke and play for £501,000 is a massive motivation and is clearly bringing the best out in people. There is no doubt Luke will have to bring his best darts to Manchester Central on October 30 or one of these amateurs could be celebrating the victory of a lifetime. What a spectacle it promises to be. Darts has never been more popular but Luke and Netflix are taking things to the next level with this event.”
The show will stream on Netflix on 30th October hosted by Gary Lineker with expert analysis from Richard Osman.
Workerbee (part of Banijay UK) is producing the show in partnership with the PDC.
