Liverpool app agency wins AO contract


Online retailer, AO, has appointed Liverpool’s PixelBeard to develop a new logistics platform.

The app agency will create a suite of logistics products, to streamline the efficiency of delivery planning and resource management across the company. This will be based around a mobile app.

North West-based AO, said that it would “transform” its way of work, providing real-time digital updates, rather than relying on paperwork.

“We already offer a best in class delivery service but are constantly looking for ways to improve it for our customers,” said David Ashwell, UK Logistics Director of AO Logistics.

“We think we’ve found the right solution through PixelBeard and look forward to working together to simplify our processes and ultimately do an even better job for customers.”

It is set to go live in the first quarter of this year, available across iOS, Android and web platforms.

“AO crews are on the road so rely on mobile devices and apps to complete most daily tasks on the move. AO wanted to find a non-intrusive way to feed into their daily routine after thorough research we concluded that a mobile app was a natural fit,” added Adam Davies, Creative Director of PixelBeard.
