Daniel Hughes PR is to handle the public relations for the Gay Times as it holds its flagship event outside of London for the first time.

The Gay Times Honours will take place at the Walker Art Gallery this November.

“Liverpool is a wonderfully vibrant, thriving and culturally diverse city so it is a natural destination for Gay Times Honours. These awards are all about shining a light on people in the public eye, and those from everyday life, who have done remarkable things to advance the rights of the LGBTQ community and we’re very excited to be doing this in Liverpool,” said Gay Times owner, James Frost.

“There will be a number of high-profile celebrity names but we will also be paying tribute to local heroes. Everyone is going to be talking about Gay Times Honours when it takes place on 8 November.”

DHPR has also been retained to manage communications for next year’s British LGBT Awards and will be working on the European Diversity Awards taking place at the Natural History Museum later this year.

“We’re incredibly excited to to be working with Gay Times to bring this iconic event to the city. Our PR campaigns are always diverse and inclusive and regularly featured in Britain’s most influential media and that’s why we’ve been recruited to spearhead the campaign,” said Hughes.
