Following a competitive tender, Liverpool creative agency OneMay has won Merseyrail’s 2026 seasonal campaign brief.
The first phase of the work launched this week, with OneMay delivering Merseyrail’s Spring campaign alongside its Southport activity for one of the region’s most recognisable transport brands. Designed to drive leisure travel across the region, the campaign features the hero line “Fast Track to Spring Smiles,” supported by audience-focused social assets tailored to different traveller groups and day-out moments.
The Merseyrail win forms part of a standout Q1 for OneMay, with the agency securing more than 40% of its total 2025 revenue in the first quarter alone.
That growth has been reinforced by further new business success, including a year-long contract with biotech giant Thermo Fisher, as well as continued investment in the senior team with the appointment of Tom Davies, formerly of The Hut Group.

Martin Porter, co-founder of OneMay, said: “This has been our strongest Q1 to date, and winning briefs like this reflects the direction of the business. It’s exactly the kind of project we love to work on, and the kind of work we’re pleased to be winning more of.”
Anthony Greally, senior marketing manager at Merseyrail, added: “We were looking for a creative approach that could bring our seasonal activity to life in a fresh and engaging way, and OneMay’s response really stood out. The Spring campaign is a strong start to the programme and supports our wider ambition to inspire more leisure travel across the Merseyrail network.”
The latest appointment continues OneMay’s growth across transport, public sector and FMCG, with the agency also currently working on a number of celebrity-backed consumer brands due to launch globally in the coming months.
Merseyrail Electrics (2002) Ltd is a 50/50 joint venture between Serco and Transport UK, operating under a 25‑year concession agreement with Merseytravel, the transport executive body and delivery arm of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
The Merseyrail network reaches 69 stations and has around 76 miles of tracks, delivering approximately 600 timetabled services each day. With an overall customer satisfaction score of 92%, Merseyrail last year retained its position as the number one operator for customer satisfaction in the UK, according to the Rail Customer Experience Survey conducted by independent watchdog Transport Focus.
